More bang for the buck – Optotech Infrastructure on Jetting machines
by Mats Jellback, Jetting AB | Sep 8 2026
How does a fiber blowing machine perform when it leaves the product brochure behind and is put to work in the field? To get the perspective of those who work with fiber installations every day, we spoke with Daniel Lindgren at Optotech Infrastructure. With 25 years of experience in fiber installation, the company has extensive knowledge of what equipment needs to deliver in real-world working conditions. We asked Daniel to share his thoughts on using Jetting machines in the field.
Optotech Infrastructure currently uses the Jetting V0HD, V2 and V3 for different types of fiber installations. Having several machine models available allows them to handle a wide range of cable and duct sizes depending on the requirements of each project.
Price and performance matter
When Optotech Infrastructure chooses equipment, it is not just one specification that determines the decision. The balance between price and performance is important, but Daniel also highlights something that can easily be overlooked when comparing machines on paper – access to fast and professional support by phone.
For an installer working on site, being able to quickly get in touch with someone for support can be just as important as the technical capabilities of the machine itself.
Easy setup on site
Another important factor is how quickly the equipment can be prepared for work. Optotech Infrastructure describes the setup of Jetting machines as very straightforward for anyone with basic knowledge and experience.
A simple setup means less time spent preparing the equipment and more time spent on the actual installation – particularly valuable when machines are used regularly and moved between different job sites.
Pushing force is one of the key advantages
When asked which features are particularly useful in everyday work, Daniel especially points to the power delivered by the machines.
Optotech Infrastructure finds that Jetting machines generally provide strong pushing force. Combined with the ability to feed the cable both forward and in reverse, this gives the installer additional flexibility during the installation. The higher pushing force has also made a difference compared with the fiber blowing machines Optotech previously used.
“Above all, the higher pushing force that the machines generally deliver compared with the blowing machines we used before.”
For Optotech Infrastructure, this has contributed to a more efficient way of working.
Experience from real working conditions
Conditions in the field are rarely perfect, and Optotech Infrastructure has used the machines in a variety of environments. Their overall experience with speed, pushing force and reliability has been positive, with the machines performing well across different working conditions.
CABLE SIZES FROM 1 MM TO 15 MM
Optotech Infrastructure uses Jetting machines across a broad range of fiber installations.
With the V0HD, V2 and V3, they can handle their current fiber blowing applications with cable sizes ranging from 1.0 to 15.0 mm and duct sizes from 5 to 50 mm.
“More bang for the buck”
So, what would Optotech Infrastructure say to a fiber installer considering a Jetting machine for the first time?
Daniel comes back to the same factor that matters when Optotech Infrastructure chooses equipment themselves: the balance between price and performance.
When asked to summarize the difference compared with other equipment they have experience with, his answer is simple:
“More bang for the buck.”
For Optotech Infrastructure, the value of Jetting machines comes from the combination of performance, pushing power, ease of use, access to support and, ultimately, what you get for your investment.
